Via Vallen kembali mendapatkan gelar Penyanyi Solo Dangdut Wanita Terpopuler di Indonesian Dangdut Awards 2018 secara beruntun. Tahun lalu, Via Vallen berhasil menyingkirkan lawan-lawannya di nominasi yang sama, di Indonesian Dangdut Awards 2017.
Kali ini, Via Vallen kembali menorehkan catatan baik di dunia dangdut Tanah Air dengan menyingkirkan nomine lainnya seperti Ayu Ting Ting, Dewi Perssik, Erie Suzan, Inul Daratista, Lesty DA, Nella Kharisma, Rita Sugiarto, Siti Badriah, dan Zaskia Gotik.
Via Vallen pun menyampaikan rasa terima kasihnya karena kepercayaan masyarakat yang memilihnya untuk memenangkan penghargaan tersebut.
"Assalamualaikum, alhamdulillah terima kasih kepada Allah SWT. Enggak nyangka sih tahun ini dapet kesempatan lagi. Yang jelas mau ngucapin terima kasih banyak untuk semua support dan kesempatan yang luar biasa ini," kata Via Vallen di panggung Indonesian Dangdut Awards 2018, Jumat (12/10/2018).
Ayah Sakit
Penghargaan kali ini rupanya begitu spesial bagi Via Vallen. Ia meraih penghargaan tersebut di tengah kondisi sang ayah yang sedang sakit. Untuk itu, penghargaan ini ia persembahkan untuk sang ayah.
Menangis
Ketika membahas soal sang ayah, raut wajah Via Vallen sedikit berubah. Air mata pun tak kuasa lagi dibendungnya. Haru semakin terasa ketika musik latar belakang berubah sendu.
"Terutama untuk keluarga, orangtua, terutama papa saya, papa saya orang yang sangat supportsaya, jadi kalau misal ada sesuatu yang membuat saya sedih, papa orang pertama yang ikut sedih. Ini untuk papa yang lagi sakit, semoga papa cepat sembuh," kata Via Vallen sambil menangis.
