Dikutip dari laman Tribun News, Roy pernah menikah dengan Farida Sabtijastuti yang telah memberinya 4 orang anak, antara lain Monique, Aline, Galih dan Gading Marten.

Roy kemudian menikah dengan model Anna Maria pada 1 April 1985 yang memberinya 2 orang anak lagi, yaitu Merari Sabati dan Mahesa Gibran.

Namun tak ada rumah tangga yang mulus tanpa cobaan.
Roy pernah beberapa kali digosipkan bakal menikah lagi dengan wanita muda.
Bahkan foto mesranya dengan seorang gadis beredar luas di media sosial pada Februari 2017 lalu.
Gosip itu bermula saat wanita bernama Dini Indriani diketahui mengunggah foto-foto kebersamaan dengan Roy ke akun media sosialnya dengan judul "merasa dicintai" dan "Selalu tambah endut aku".

Namun gosip itu dibantah olehnya.
Roy mengaku kenal dengan Dini karena dikenalkan oleh Krisna Murti.
Berdasarkan penuturan Krisna Murti, Dini Indriani ialah gadis biasa yang berusia sekitar 20 tahun. Dan seorang penggemar berat Roy.
Itulah sebabnya Dini Indriani gemar berfoto selfie dengan Roy Marten.
Gosip itupun perlahan mereda, namun tak dinyana, lagi-lagi Roy Marten terpergok berfoto bareng ABG pada Mei 2017 lalu.
