Mendengar kabar McGregor ingin menantang Khabib sekali lagi, Tony langsung meminta keduanya mengakhiri perseteruan ini. Baginya, jika seseorang sudah kalah pada suatu pertandingan, maka dirinya harus menyingkir.

Walau begitu, dirinya tak menutup kemungkinan apabila harus menghadapi McGregor sebelum melawan Khabib. Akan tetapi, Tony tak yakin The Notorious akan menerima tantangannya untuk bertanding di oktagon.
"Jika Anda mau memberikan Conor, saya akan langsung mendatanginya. Conor tak mau bertanding dengan saya," kata Tony.
Tony pun menambahkan, tidak ada satu orang pun yang mau berada di dalam oktagon bersamanya yang memiliki serangan-serangan mematikan, melalui siku dan kaki. Maka dari itu, ia yakin McGregor tak mau menghadapinya.
"Tidak ada satupun yang mau terperangkap di dalam kandang (oktagon) dengan saya. Mereka tidak mau terpukul dengan siku saya. Mereka tak mau terkena tendangan saya."
